Zahra is a postgraduate researcher in the Sarkisov Group at the University of Manchester. She graduated with a First Class Honours MEng with Industrial Experience in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester (2026) and a BSc in Biotechnology from the University of Tehran (2021). She has professional experience working within the Oral Drug Product Development at Bristol Myers Squibb, leading a novel proof-of-concept study utilising advanced spectroscopic PATs such as Raman and NIR to characterise the chemical and physical specificity of spray-dried amorphous solid dispersions (ASDs). Her PhD research focuses on using machine learning and molecular simulation, developing high-performance computational tools to accelerate the multi-scale computational design and high-throughput screening of porous materials e.g. metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for water harvesting applications to bridge molecular and process-scale modelling.
